One lucky Westmeath National Lottery player had a Christmas Day with a difference this year after scooping a cool €500,000 in the EuroMillions Draw.

The golden Quick Pick ticket was purchased in Cards 'n Things in the Harbour Place Shopping

Centre, Mullingar two days before Christmas, and the National Lottery head office is now urging all its EuroMillions players - particularly thoise in Westmeath - to check their tickets to see if they have landed this huge cash prize.

The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers are: 3, 6, 23, 36 and 44.

The National Lottery claims office is open for business tomorrow (Friday, December 28) after the Christmas break.
