Three local homes surpass €500,000 mark!
Three homes in the Athlone area surpassed the half a million euro sale price since the beginning of the year, an analysis of figures supplied by the Property Services Regulatory Authority has revealed.
An examination of 668 sales in the county included in the Residential Property Price Register between January and September shows that a property on Grace Road was the most expensive home in Athlone to date this year, selling for a cool €575,000 on January 30 last.
Others to breach the €500,000 sale price included a home in Shancurragh, Coosan, coming in at €560,000 last February, while a house in Glasson was purchased for €515,000 on August 20, according to figures published on the authority's website.
Other noteworthy sales in the first nine months of the year were a home at Ballingee, Glasson going for €495,000, a dwelling at Birch Quay, Ballykeeran made €460,000 and another home in Hillquarter, Coosan was sold for €450,000 during the period.
The Residential Property Price Register is produced by the Property Services Regulatory Authority (PSRA) in accordance with section 86 of the Property Services (Regulation) Act 2011.
It includes date of sale, price and address of all residential properties purchased in Ireland since January 1 2010, as declared to the Revenue Commissioners for stamp duty purposes.
