Water supply restored to all customers after burst
Water supply has been restored to all customers in Ballykeeran, Glasson, Mount Temple, Ories and Annagh.
Irish Water worked in partnership with Westmeath County Council over recent days to repair the burst water main on Ballymahon Road and to restore the water supply to all customers in the affected areas.
The burst water main on the Ballymahon Road was repaired on Tuesday and the water levels in the Annagh Reservoir were restored to normal levels over the last 48 hours.
Irish Water said this afternoon it was pleased to confirm that work to fully replace this water main on the Ballymahon Road is scheduled to begin in January 2018, which will provide a more reliable water supply for customers.
In a statement it said: “Irish Water and Westmeath County Council apologise to customers who were impacted by the burst and water outage as the water levels in the Annagh Reservoir restored.
We thank residents and businesses for their patience and understanding while a normal water supply was restored to all customers. Customers can contact the Irish Water customer care helpline on 1850 278 278 if they have any follow-up queries.”
