Arrested on suspicion of drink driving twice in three hours

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving twice in the space of three hours during the early hours of Saturday morning last

.At about 12.30am on Saturday the man was arrested following a minor traffic accident on Church Street. He provided a urine sample to gardai, which was analysed. He was released from Garda custody and at about 3am he was arrested on suspicion of drink driving in the Glasson area. He was subsequently charged and will appear before Athlone District court to face two separate charges of drink driving.
