YouTube star's Dublin show
YouTube star and former Athlone resident Jack Septiceye is about to go on tour with a stage show that will be coming to Dublin next month.
The 27-year-old, whose real name is Sean McLoughlin, was living in Athlone in recent years while he developed a huge global following for his energetic and amusing YouTube clips, most of which involve him playing video games.
He moved to Brighton in May of this year but will be returning to Ireland for a stage show in Dublin's National Stadium on Wednesday, October 18.
The show is called 'Ready Player 3' and is part of a European tour with two fellow YouTubers, Arin Hanson and Dan Avidan, who are known as the Game Grumps. It will be a live gaming and comedy event, ending with a Q&A session.
The show will be taking place in Amsterdam, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen and a handful of cities in the UK before concluding with the event in Dublin.
Sean is also about to embark on his own solo tour in the United States, called 'How Did We Get Here?' He will be appearing in Chicago, Minneapolis, and Milwaukee at the end of this month and the beginning of October.
There are currently sixteen and a half million subscribers to the 'Jacksepticeye' channel on YouTube. He also has over three million followers on Twitter and more than five million followers on Instagram.
His Dublin show was announced last week and tickets are currently on sale from Ticketmaster, priced €35. VIP tickets for the show also went on sale, priced €69, but at the time of writing these appeared to have sold out.
