'Boxer' makes Late Late Show appearance tonight
Athlone TD Kevin 'Boxer' Moran is set to make an appearance with Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show tonight (May 19) for an in-depth interview.
‘Boxer’ was elected to the Dáil in February of last year and will soon take up a Junior Ministerial role in Government, when he succeeds Sean Canney as the Minister with responsibility for the Office of Public Works on Friday, June 2.
During an interview with the Westmeath Independent at the opening of the new Athlone Community College in April, ‘Boxer’ said that when he started in the school 36 years earlier he “suffered very badly with dyslexia,” and it’s thought that this may be one of the topics that will be discussed during his Late Late Show interview with host Ryan Tubridy.
An RTE spokesperson confirmed the local politician’s scheduled appearance on the programme, but said “they haven’t nailed down the details of what he will be talking about yet.”
The TD also recently filmed interviews about flooding in Athlone with broadcaster John Creedon for an upcoming RTE series called ‘Creedon’s Shannon’.
