Voting lines now open for Readers' Choice in Sports Awards
The 2016 Westmeath Independent Sports Awards will take place in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, Athlone on Friday evening, March 3.
The 12 monthly winners will be presented with their awards at the gala function. An overall winner will be chosen from the 12 monthly winners, while readers have the opportunity to cast their vote for the Readers’ Choice Award (see below for the list of winners and details on how to vote).
The overall Sports Star of the Year and Readers’ Choice Award winner will be revealed on the night. Both of these awards will be selected from the group of monthly award winners.
In addition, a Hall of Fame Award winner will be revealed in advance of the event.
The Westmeath Independent Sports Awards are organised in conjunction with the Shamrock Lodge Hotel.
Members of the general public are welcome to attend the sports awards function and details about tickets for the event will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Voting lines for this award are now open and the list of monthly award winners, along with their text number, can be found below. Each text costs €1 and there is a maximum of 30 entries per mobile number per day.
