Mary O'Rourke's new book is launched

Mary O’Rourke's new book 'Letters of my life' was launched by television and radio presenter Pat Kenny - we feature a report and photographs of the launch in this week's edition of the Westmeath Independent, out now.
At the launch, Mr Kenny spoke about Mary being a regular contributor to his Newstalk programme where she is part of the show’s book club, with singer, Brian Kennedy and comedienne, Katherine Lynch.
The launch was attended by many national and local politicians of all colours and none, including Fianna Fail Leader, Deputy Michael Martin, and Athlone’s Deputy Kevin 'Boxer’ Moran. Members of Athlone Municipal District present at the National Library were Cllr Aengus O’Rourke (son of Mary O’Rourke) Fine Gael Cllr Tom Farrell, and Independents, Cllr Michael O’Brien and Cllr Ailish McManus.
