Make the most of today's sunny weather
Make the most of the brief sunny spell as it appears there’s rain on the way for the weekend!
There will be some sun peaking through the clouds in Westmeath Saturday and Sunday, according the Met Éireann, but we can expect rain too so keep the brollies close.
Despite the rain, temperatures will still be in the late teens, with temperatures tomorrow expected to be in the region of 16C, while on Sunday temperatures of 17C are expected.
Monday sees slightly better weather, with some sunny spells and temperatures of 17C.
Nationally, Saturday will be a blustery, showery day. Showers will be heavy or thundery throughout the day and westerly winds will be strong and gusty. Some sunnier intervals as well. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees.
There will be a dry and bright start in many areas on Sunday morning, with just well scattered light showers about. However, thickening cloud and rain will move into the southwest in the morning and gradually spread northeastwards to affect Connacht and Leinster through the afternoon and evening. Afternoon temperatures of 18 to 20 degrees Celsius and winds will be light at first, but freshening southerly later.
