High temperatures to increase risk of thunderstorm activity this weekend!
The outlook for the weekend shows it to be clammy with a chance of thunderstorms.
According to Met Eireann, while tomorrow will be much milder with temperatures reaching between 15 - 19 degrees, the warm weather will bring a greater risk of downpours, especially during the early evening.
Friday night will be dry and mild and this should continue for most of the weekend.
“There will be a mixture of sunshine and cloud in all parts of the country on Saturday and Sunday, with temperatures reaching the high teens generally, and a little higher locally inland, during the afternoons,” stated the national met office.
“These above normal temperatures will cause heavy showers to break out randomly, with a few possibly developing into thunderstorms.
“However, the showers will quickly die out after sunset, with clear spells developing overnight.”
Current indications for the middle of next week suggest dry and mainly sunny weather, with temperatures rising to the low twenties Celsius each day in many places giving a warm start to June
