Disruption to local train services this weekend

Athlone train users will experience some disruption this weekend due to essential works being carried out on the line in the Midlands.

Bus transfers will be in operation on Saturday evening between Tullamore and Athlone due to engineering works on the train line at Clara, Co Offaly.

Rail bosses are advising customers that bus transfers will operate for four services on Saturday evening.

The following services will operate to Tullamore only, with bus transfers in operation from Tullamore to Clara and Athlone, and then continue as a train from Athlone to Galway;
18.30hrs Dublin Heuston - Galway
19.35hrs Dublin Heuston - Galway

The following services will operate to Athlone only, with bus transfers in operation from Athlone to Clara and Tullamore, and then continue as a train from Tullamore to Heuston;
18.15hrs Westport - Dublin Heuston
19.20hrs Galway - Dublin Heuston
