VIDEO: Robbie Henshaw reveals who he's supporting in the general election

Ireland rugby star Robbie Henshaw has weighed in on the election battle, urging people in Longford/Westmeath to support Independent alliance candidate Kevin 'Boxer' Moran.

The 22-year-old from Coosan recorded a video in which he describes 'Boxer' as 'a dedicated, energetic and, most of all, trustworthy representative.'

'He would make such a difference to national politics and to Dail Eireann by his presence there,' said Robbie.

It's widely predicted that 'Boxer' Moran and two other Athlone candidates - Fine Gael's Deputy Gabrielle McFadden and Sinn Fein's Paul Hogan - will battle it out for the last of the four seats in the Longford-Westmeath constituency.
