Gardai investigate two burglaries

Gardai in South Roscommon and Athlone are looking for the public’s help in relation to two local burglaries.
The first happened on Monday, January 4 at an outhouse attached to a farm at Kilbegley in Moore, sometime between 5pm and 10pm, when various items of farm equipment were stolen from the building. These included wire cutters, a electric battery fence charger, a box of sockets and a rechargable lamp and other small items.
Meanwhile, in Athlone a hair salon in Irishtown was targeted for burglary between last Thursday evening and Friday morning. A small quantity of cash was taken from the premises after the rear door was breached to gain entry.
