Mainly dry start to october set to continue
Following a disappointing summer, weather-wise, things have picked up in September and October with some very pleasant, sunny and dry conditions.
The good news is that the outlook from Met Eireann is for the current dry spell to continue over the next few days.
Some fog patches are expected to develop tonight (Thursday) and there will be 'outbreaks of rain or drizzle' in western counties tomorrow but further east it will be dry with some sunny spells and temperatures between 13 and 16 degrees.
The national metereological service expects both Saturday and Sunday to be mainly dry days with any showers to be confined to coastal areas.
And the early days of next week are expected to feature cool but mostly dry conditions, with the possibility of some grass frost at night.
