Garda appeal for help in relation to local burglary

Gardaí are looking for public’s help after an Irishtown barbershop was broken into during daytime hours over the weekend.

The rear of the premises at Sean Costello Street was entered via a window between 2pm and 3pm on Sunday last, and a small amount of  cash and hair trimming items were taken from the building. It’s believed one male was involved in the break-in.

Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in Irishtown area on Sunday or in the vicinity of the shop along Sean Costello Street is asked to call Athlone Garda Station 090 6498550.
