Batches of tesco cereal recalled due to possible presence of plastic

Tesco Ireland is recalling batches of one of its own-brand breakfast cereals due to the possible presence of plastic fragments.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) issued an alert today stating that 1kg packages of Tesco Bran Flakes which carry a best before date of 05/2016 were being recalled 'as a small number of packets may contain plastic fragments.'

No other products are affected by this recall.

Tesco Ireland is issuing in-store recall notices requesting customers who have bought these batches to return them to a Tesco store.
