It wont be a weekend to remember weather wise


We are set for an unsettled bank holiday weekend, according to weather forecasters.
Met Eireann said the outlook for the weekend is for changeable weather, with some wet conditions at times, but periods of dry, sunny weather also.
Tonight (Wednesday) will be cool and breezy, with a mixture of dry periods and occasional showers. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty westerly winds.
Thursday, will be bright with sunny spells at first. However, increasing cloud will bring showers by afternoon, they will be heaviest in the north. In the evening rain will spread from the west.
Friday will be a bright, fresh, breezy day, with fairly widespread showers. Some will be heavy, but there should be a few sunny spells too. The evening should be sunny and mostly dry. Highs of 11 to 13 C., in fresh and gusty northwesterly winds.
Saturday will start with a bright, sunny morning, with slack winds. But a freshening southerly wind will bring an increase in cloud and rain will develop in Atlantic coastal counties in the afternoon. Highs of 12 to 14 C are expected. The wet and breezy weather will extend to all areas later in the day and will persist for a time overnight.
Sunday will be similar. It will be mostly dry early on, but some showers will develop, with most of these in western and northern areas. Highs of 11 to 13 C.. A spell of wet and windy weather is set to sweep in off the Atlantic overnight.
Monday should be another cool, fairly cloudy day, with further rain or showers at times.
