Bean edging closer to new album dream
ATHLONE musician Brian ‘Bean’ Dolan is looking for your help as the deadline approaches to help him raise enough money to record a new album of self-written material.
Now living in Cork, ‘Bean’ has been a well-known and popular contributor to Athlone’s music scene over many years. He recently launched a campaign for sponsorship on the website www.fundit.ie where people can donate between €5 and €500 to aid his cause. Each contribution is rewarded in certain ways. For example, if you contribute €200 or more, ‘Bean’ will arrive at your doorstep to perform in your own house!
The money raised will help ‘Bean’ pay for studio time and mixing the album, and compensate guest musicians for their time. The album will be recorded over six weeks and will be released in the Summer.
On his gofundme page, ‘Bean’ said: ‘It’s going to feature some really great music and lots of amazing musicians that I’ve had the pleasure of knowing over the years. I’m really honoured to have them on board and cannot wait for you to hear my album. I’ll be bringing a full band around the country after the release to rock it out in real life’.
‘Bean’ is looking to raise €5,000 and is currently not far off his target. You can help ‘Bean’ achieve his goal by visiting www.fundit.ie and following the instructions to donate.
