Early morning breakin at glasson business

Gardai are this morning investigating a break-in at Spollen’s in Glasson overnight and have appealed for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to get in contact.

Between 3am and 3.20am this morning the alarm at the petrol station and store in the centre of Glasson village was disabled.

Gardai say the culprits gained entry through a side door before damaging the alarm and CCTV system. A quantity of cigarettes was stolen.

Gardai believe the thieves left the premises on foot and say their transport may have been parked some distance away.

They have asked anyone who saw anything suspicious in the village or its environs last night to contact Athlone Garda Station on 090 6498550.
