Civic honour for athlones cheyanne

Boxer Cheyanne O’Neill and the Battery Heights Residents Association are to be honoured next month with a civic reception.
The honour is being bestowed on Cheyanne in recognition of winning a silver medal in the European Championships and a gold medal in the Queens Cup in 2014.
The Battery Heights Residents Association is receiving the civic reception in recognition of winning the National Pride of Place Award.
The civic reception will be held on February 2 next at Athlone Civic Centre. Cathaoirleach of Westmeath County Council, Cllr Paddy Hill, will address those in attendance.
