Audio protest over closure of ulster bank ferbane
Hundreds of people attended a protest in Athlone on Friday over the proposed closure of the Ferbane branch of Ulster Bank. They were addressed by economist Eddie Hobbs, IFA President Eddie Downey, Chief Executive of the Vintners’ Federation of Ireland Padraig Cribben, CEO of Irish Rural Link Seamus Boland and Chairman of Ferbane Bank Action Group Pat O’Callaghan.
