Moate choir to receive civic reception

Moate Community School Choir will be honoured by the council next week.

The All Island School Choir Competition winners will receive a civic reception from Cathaoirleach Cllr Paddy Hill, and other members of Westmeath County Council in County Buildings, Mullingar on Monday.

Each choir member is to presented with scrolls of recognition following their recent extraordinary achievement in winning the All Island School Choir Competition in Belfast last November.

The reception will conclude with a performance by the choir, after the formal proceedings.

Staying with all Moate matters, work by students of Moate Business College Art and Design School is currently on display in the atrium exhibition area of County Buildings. The exhibition titled ‘Reflections’ will run until February 2nd.
