Jay Boland back as Voice of Ireland favourite
Boylesports has this week reported further support for Jay Boland to win The Voice Of Ireland in the past few days. The Athlone native was initially installed as the 9/4 favourite after he booked his place in the battles after the first week of auditions aired.
Last week he was pushed out to 11/4 as a surge of support came for Kellie Lewis who hails from Limerick but Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker can now report that punters have started to support Jay again and have gambled him back into 2/1 favourite whilst Kellie has drifted out to 9/2.
Week three of the auditions saw another seven people progress to the battles with Wicklow native, John Hogan Jnr, selecting Dolores as his coach and the thirty-year-old who sang Little Boy Blue has been installed at 11/2 to go all the way.
Armagh’s Catherine Hughes, who wowed the judges with her performance of Blown Away, selected Jamelia and is now through to the Battles and is currently priced at 25/1.
Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylesports, said: “We have seen further support for Athlone native Jay Boland who has now been supported back into favouritism from 11/4 in the past few days.
“Jay remains our biggest liability having laid bets on him at 11/4 and 5/2 whilst there has been some support for Waterford’s Ciara Donnelly who has been supported into 16/1 from 33/1.”
