Dell's Little Helpers Charlotte & Gareth Slevin and Olivia Spring launch Daffodil Day App with PJ Gallagher.

Appy Days as Westmeath people urged to download Daffodil Day App

Dell and the Irish Cancer Society have unveiled a special Daffodil Day mobile phone app as part of the Dell supported 2013 Daffodil Day campaign. This exciting innovation has been developed by Dell employees in collaboration with the Irish Cancer Society. As the lead partner for Daffodil Day, this will be the third year that Dell will support the annual campaign.
The aim of the App is to expand the reach of the campaign even further, and to make it easier for people to donate and get information about Daffodil Day. The app is available to download free in all mobile phone app stores. Dell and the Irish Cancer Society have called on the people of Westmeath to download the free Daffodil Day mobile phone app and help spread the message of Daffodil Day across the country.

This year’s priority will be to use funds raised to expand the Society’s Cancer Information Service into hospitals, making it even easier for those with or affected by, cancer to access their free and confidential services. The Society’s Cancer Information Service, which reached over 200,000 people in 2012, seeks to improve the lives of cancer patients in Ireland providing information to empower them to make informed decisions about their treatment.  It’s vital that Daffodil Day reachesits ambitious fundraising target of €3.4 million in 2013 in order to continue to provide and expand this service and others.

The Irish Cancer Society’s 26th Daffodil Day, supported by Dell, will take place across the country on Friday, March 22. Here is how you can support Daffodil Day 2013:
  • Volunteer on Daffodil Day
  • Organise a Daffodil Day event in your community or workplace
