Catch Me if You Can to be staged for charity
Margaret McKenna Mullan's play Catch Me if You Can will be staged at St Kieran's Community Centre in Tormey Villas on Saturday, February 23. All proceeds from the night will go to the local branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association and the South Westmeath Hospice. This comedy by Margaret McKenna Mullan is a highly entertaining play directed by Eoin Croffy, set in the midlands. It tells the story of two spinster sisters Greta (Margaret McKenna Mullan) and Mary Luby (Ann Hoey). They feel lumbered with their cantankerous ageing father (Seamus McKenna) and both have the same agenda - inheritance. But is it enough? How much more can they take? Will it all go according to plan or will the crazy locum doctor (Paddy Broder) put a spanner in the works. Unsuspecting Paddy the Painter (Malcolm Whelan), a rogue of the highest order, gets more than he bargained for while dealing with these strange ladies. If you enjoyed Margaret's last play, Hindsight, Foresight for Gobshites, then this is a must see. Catch Me if You Can will be staged at St Kieran's Community Centre on Saturday, February 23, at 8pm. Tickets, priced at €10, are available from St Kieran's or from Monica at the Clonbrusk centre.
