Aslan to play Richard Grace's tonight

Dublin rockers Aslan have been going strong for 30 years. And this week they play Richard Grace's Bar in Athlone. Their debut album Feel no Shame went to No 1 in the Irish charts in 1988. Their hit Crazy World was one of the most played singles on Irish radio in 1993 and stayed in the Irish Chart for three months, In 1998, they produced a double platinum-selling album, Shame about Lucy Moonhead, and have continued to build on their success ever since. Aslan have played sold out gigs in Europe and Australia. In 2008 Aslan were named 'Best Irish Band' at The Meteor Irish Music Awards. The band toured Australia in December 2011 playing to large crowds of mainly expatriates. Their latest album "Nudie Books and Frenchies" was released in April 2012.
