Damien Bowe and the Klassics to perform at Westmeath Independent sports awards
Acclaimed wedding band Damien Bowe and the Klassics will be providing the musical entertainment at this Friday night's Westmeath Independent Sports Stars of the Year Awards at the Hodson Bay Hotel (7.30pm). Lead singer of the Klassics, Damien Bowe has appeared on TV shows such as Top of the Pops, GMTV Ireland AM and The Den.
One of the leading wedding bands in Ireland at the moment, this professional outfit boasts a huge playlist of songs to suit every age and taste. Meanwhile, the countdown continues to the 2010 Westmeath Independent Sports Stars of the Year awards night, which takes place in the Hodson Bay Hotel next Friday, January 28, 2011, at 7.30pm. The twelve monthly award winners will be presented with their awards on the night, as will Hall of Fame award winner Dave Costello of Athlone Tennis Club.
The twelve monthly winners are Daniel Qualter, Kieran Martin, Gary Molloy, Jennifer Byrne, Joe Ward, Colm Moriarty, Donie Shine, Mark Rohan, Sarah Dolan, Doran Harte, Karol Mannion and Niall Daly. The overall Westmeath Independent Sports Star of the Year will be picked from this list of twelve monthly award winners. The Readers' Choice award will also be picked from the monthly winners. RTE broadcaster Robbie Irwin will act as MC for this year's awards night which will include a sumptuous meal and musical entertainment from Damien Bowe and the Klasics at the renowed Hodson Bay Hotel on the shores of Loughe Ree, just outside Athlone.
