Rapt attention for Kerry storyteller

John W Sexton at Moate library was what I was told about, I now know what the W stands for - WOW. The workshops will be taught by John W Sexton, it sounded so serious and adult. The workshop was funny, witty, entertaining and as you can see from the pictures there was total attention from the children. The greatest compliment any facilitator can get, a class of children captivated, plus the four adults who were listening. Did you know that the world is actually flat and not round as taught in our schools, John W would nearly convince you? John W Sexton has had fiction and poetry published in most leading Irish literary journals and was nominated for the Hennessy Literary Award. All very serious sounding but ask any child about the The Johnny Coffin Diaries and you will hear why it proved so popular with children across the country. John W lives in Kenmare, Co Kerry, and was making his second appearance in Moate Library having appeared in the old Moate library some years back as part of the Children's Book Festival.
