Kilachonna Cookery School courses a great success

The Kilachonna Cookery School courses this summer have been a great success, with wonderful feedback from both the students and their parents. The use of the home economics room at Moate Community School has been really great for both the students and their teacher Nessa Robins. It gives the students the experience of working in a real kitchen with two students to each purpose built workstation. Nessa tells me she has just one course remaining this summer for 7-11 year olds with some places left for any budding chefs who would like to learn some new skills in a relaxed and friendly environment. Having sampled some of the dishes produced by a very happy participant on one of the earlier sessions I can strongly recommend this course as a very interactive and practical experience for the children. Nessa uses organic produce where possible and the quantity of eggs and fresh garden produce consumed by the course is staggering.
