County title for Peter Dolan

Congratulations to Peter Dolan who kept the Moate All Whites alive in this year"s Scor when he took the county title at the Westmeath final which was held in The Downs on Saturday last. Peter was in great form as he impressed the audience and judges alike with his animated and expressive delivery of Pat McGeeney"s 'The Present'. Peter now goes on to represent Westmeath in the Leinster final. The Moate All Whites ballad group, who have dominated the ballad section of both senior and junior Scor in recent years, lost out this year to a Ballycomoyle group who have been knocking on the door for a number of years. The team of Tina Gillivan, Louise Heavin, Ronnie Minnock, Ann Nestor and Una Walsh gave an excellent performance on the night but the adjudicators gave the title to Ballycomoyle who now go on to represent Westmeath in the Leinster final. Congratulations to our neighbours in Ballymore who enjoyed a very successful night at the Westmeath final, taking home three titles and the Club of the Year award.
