Top comedy with Brendan Grace in the Hodson Bay Hotel

Legendary Irish comedian, Brendan Grace returns to Athlone on Sunday, February 8 next, bringing his latest show "Funny Man" to the Hodson Bay Hotel with support from Frankie McDonald and Bernadette Ruddy. Now in his 37th year as a professional comedy performer, Grace remains a favourite in Ireland as one of the kings of comedy with a universal appeal to all age groups. While other performers sometimes adapt vigorous media campaigns or use outrageous tactics to gain public attention Brendan Grace has held a consistent profile of family-based entertainment. His survival and subsequent accolades and achievements are summed up in his own philosophical words: ""Give The People What They Want"" - and that is exactly what Brendan does. After a 2007 in which Brendan Grace played to sold out venues all over Ireland, north and south, including a nine night sellout at Dublin"s Gaiety Theatre, Brendan returns to the midlands with his brand new one man show. He will perform some of his most popular comedy pieces from the last 35 years in addition to some brand new material. As a performer Brendan has done it all, including sharing international stages with Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Lisa Minneli, Tom Jones and David Soul but he has never lost the common touch.
