Local schools enjoy tag rugby blitz in AIT

The first years from Our Lady"s Bower and St Joseph"s College, Summerhill - both all-girls secondary schools in the Athlone area - recently came together at Athlone Institute of Technology for a tag-rugby blitz. The teams from Athlone Community College were unable to attend due to prior commitments. The five teams from Our Lady"s Bower and three from Summerhill provided plenty of entertainment on this cold and foggy day. The teams involved wish to thank Charlie Cooper, Wendy Lynch and Keiron Sloyan, who refereed on the day, and to Lorna Stuart-Trainor, who organised this highly enjoyable event. Well done to all who participated.
