Missing tourist found safe and well

Gardaí in Athlone have confirmed that missing Australian tourist, William Tyquin, who was last seen in Athlone last week has been located this morning safe and well.

The 85-year-old travelled to Ireland on Friday 4th July 2014. He hired a black Hyundai ix20 12- D- 22135 with the intention of travelling around Ireland.

He was last seen in Athlone on Tuesday, July 8 last. Gardai thanked the public today for their assistance in tracing Mr Tyquin.
